KRD Pravin

Here I am supposed to write about myself. Professionally, I am quite serious and a workaholic; personally I am an individual who enjoys what he does and takes life as it comes. I am passionate about my work and actions and empathetically careful, attached and committed to them. All this makes me a fierce competitive professional and yet a compassionate soul, the Yin and the Yang together. Balancing is the art to be practiced using the middle path. Mindful or Involuntary action, are you spiritual or religious?

Involuntary action of bowing in temple does not make one religious. Reverence must come from within, it’d be a mindful act. You shouldn’t be God fearing religious, be God loving.

Are you facing a behavioral issue – here is a magic bullet

Recently, my father had a severe stomach ache. Doctors prescribed pain killers. It helped to a certain extent, however, two days later again he had the same issue. Education, religion and spirituality

When Adviti started school, I learnt an analogy between education vs learning to religion and spirituality. Spirituality is like learning.

Half knowledge

Half knowledge is equivalent to goat eating a piece of paper that had information. Goat would digest the paper not the knowledge on that.

Impermanent and trifling or forever and important

Everything is Impermanent and trifling or forever and important. It is the perception with which we look at things. Even the speck of sand is also forever and important – only form changes.

Behind our eyebrows

Everyone lives in his own world. This world is made up of what we live in our minds. What we see is not ahead of our eyes, it is behind our eyebrows.

Business to the Buddha I had the privilege of visiting several temples in Tamil Nadu last month, including the iconic Rameshwaram, one of the Char-Dhams for Hindus. It was an eye-opening experience that stirred memories of my younger days in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, where I visited temples more frequently. Over time, however, my visits […] […]

Business to the Buddha Recently, I had an intriguing conversation with my friend Vikas on our society’s basketball court. Business to the Buddha A few weeks ago, a scooter accident shattered more than just my collarbone. It cracked my illusion of control. I’m always been a confident, “in-charge” kind of person, a planner – “get-things-done” kind of guy, proactive with reflexes sharper than most. Just after the spill, the first blow was to […] […]

The conversation with my daughter, Adviti, sparked a deeper understanding of preventive versus corrective actions. On personal front, I am recovering now. […] […]
